A native of Kansas City, MO, Jonathan received his dual-degree B.S. in Political Science and History from Arizona State University in 1995.  He received his M.A in Theological Studies from Boston University in 2006. A resident of Phoenix since 1989, he is currently employed as a Mathematics teacher at Madision Highland Prep, an internationally accredited STEM high school in Phoenix.

He also currently serves as Associate Minister at Tanner Chapel A.M.E. Church in Phoenix…..the oldest Black church in the state of Arizona.
