Raymond Smith II

Greetings,

I am Brother Raymond Smith II, a proud member of the Phi Iota Chapter of the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc.

I was born June 4th, 1969, to Raymond and Helen Smith in Detroit, MI, where I was raised alongside my older sister, Pamela, and brother, Darryl. I graduated from Bishop Borgess High School in 1987 and went on to earn a Bachelor of Science degree in Management from California Coast University. I am blessed to share my life with my lovely wife, Shana Smith, and our three children. Our youngest, Arbelo, recently celebrated a milestone of his own, graduating from Maricopa High School here in Maricopa, AZ, where our family proudly calls home.

My professional career has been defined by discipline, precision, and adaptability. I began at Ford Motor Company in Dearborn, MI, where I served as an IT professional in roles spanning from call center technician to global network security. I then transitioned to Verizon Wireless as a fiber connection technician, where I was responsible for maintaining critical service continuity to network towers. My career path later took me to Los Angeles, CA, where I worked in the television industry as an audio technician and production coordinator. I currently serve alongside Brother Nigel Sampler (5-PT-Spr12) at ADP, where we partner with multimillion-dollar companies to implement and manage their payroll operations.

I crossed into the greatest fraternity in the world in the Spring of 2022, and since becoming an Omega Man, my commitment to this chapter has been unwavering. I have served as co-chair of the Founders’ Day Committee twice, chairman of the Achievement Week Committee three times, while earning the Superior Service Award in 2023 and the Far Greater Asset Basileus Award in 2024. I have been an active contributor in every facet of chapter life — from giving blood to designing our current chapter shield.

I am a detail-oriented, organized, process-driven, and results-focused Brother. It is with great confidence and humility that I serve as Keeper of Records and Seal for the Phi Iota Chapter.

Sincerely and in Friendship,

Brother Raymond Smith II
